We are the An’Darim, the keepers of a legacy.

The An’Darim. More than mere “guildmates.” More than simply “friends.” Kindred.

It is our goal to be dedicated servants of the Kingdom of Order in the world of Dereth, each after the manner of his own birth and disposition. We strive to serve Asheron and to stay the hands of those that would oppose his benevolent vision. Though we favor peace, we are prepared to defend our ideals with force.

We are a family of good-natured, respectful individuals who enjoy nothing better than each other’s company. We are kindred who delight in a shared life of adventure, banter, and tales. We prefer togetherness to all else.

Without fail, we bear the An’Darim name with pride and honor.

Without fail, we trust in our brethren.

Without fail, we treat others as we wish to be treated.

Without fail, we help those in need (be they An’Darim or allies) whenever possible.

Guidelines

1. All An’Darim are equal, regardless of their position in an artificial hierarchy in any given game.

2. Majority is the rule in the An’Darim. We discuss or debate topics openly among all members to determine our course. In the unlikely event that the majority’s will is not clear, the An’Darim trust the “monarch” to make any final decision.

3. We believe that among good friends, “That government is best which governs least.” Our trust in one another is such that we have deemed rules unnecessary at this time.

However, we acknowledge that as our guild grows, our needs may change. Therefore, we have a provision for adding formal rules:

Any member may propose that a new rule be added to the charter at any time. The proposal should be done formally in a public area (i.e., messageboards). In order for the new rule to be accepted, it must receive a Yea vote from 75% of the current members.

4. Please remember that as you reap, the entire An’Darim – not just you – shall sow. Keep in mind that your actions toward other players outside of the guild may have repercussions for us all.

5. While members of opposing Kingdoms are fair game, we do not engage in “griefing” tactics. Though “griefing” is a vague term, it certainly includes camping lifestones and new player areas as well as killing the same individual repeatedly without justification.

6. Roleplaying is highly encouraged, though not mandatory. Remember, it is not necessary for you to create a completely different persona than your own to roleplay. You can always “be yourself” as you think you would likely be in this alternate world called Dereth (which is how many of us do roleplay). In any case, creativity in all forms is very welcome in our family.

7. All An’Darim are welcome to invite anyone that fits our mold to join our family (i.e., anyone can accept a vassal). However, please note that each patron is accountable for the behavior his or her vassals. If a problem arises, other An’Darim are free to approach that patron and ask that the situation be dealt with as necessary.

By accepting a vassal, you are asking your kindred to trust your judgment, which we will do gladly. Please do not take this trust lightly.
